About this site
The Frequency Review is an independent review site for meditation and focus audio — binaural beats, theta waves, solfeggio, and the like.
What we do
This space is full of hype: "miracle frequencies," "manifest wealth," "decalcify your pineal gland." We're allergic to all of it. Our goal is simple — explain what these audio programs actually are, what the research does and doesn't show, and give you an honest, plain-English take on which ones are worth a listen.
How we review
- We describe our actual experience listening, with headphones, over a fair stretch of time.
- We stick to honest, subjective language — "relaxing," "good for focus," "pleasant" — and we never claim an audio program treats a medical condition or earns you money, because it can't.
- We link the real research so you can read it yourself, and we tell you plainly when the evidence is thin.
- We rate honestly. A high rating means we found it well-made and genuinely enjoyable as relaxation/focus audio — nothing more.
How we make money
The Frequency Review is reader-supported. Some of our links are affiliate links, which means if you buy a product through them, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed clearly on every page and next to every link. Crucially, it never changes our assessment: we say when something is just okay, and we'll happily tell you to save your money.
